Kennewick Puppy Mill Eskimo's

This is my new blog to explain my experiences with the Kenewick Eskies. I have rescued 32 so far with almost 20+ waiting in the wings for me to make time & space for them. I found a link on petabuse.com that shows that there has been a history of trouble at that place for more than 24 years... I'm thinking what kind of "Good Old Boy" mentality is it that let dogs suffer for almost a quarter of a century & until I started fussing, cussing, writing, calling & campaigning no one did anything. I had been communicating with this woman for most of the year trying to get her to relinquish most of the dogs, since I had written, emailed & called the Eskie rescuers in this area multiples times & was blown off even more times. According to some friends of mine in rescue something I did must've worked because she relinquished a good deal of the dogs to another rescue before the raid, I have not confirmed this though. I watched as they went in & rescued these precious little souls & when I offered to take some was blown off again...as usual. But I knew what no one wants to admit, there would still be plenty left, at the end of the day when all the media had left, there would be the one's who were so badly damaged that no one would want them... that is: No one but me, so I waited. The staff & volunteers worked tirelessly to get these one's into rescue so now they are with me. We have made some real gains, adopted out a couple, lost some to cancer, watched them go forward, then slide back, seen the first time their feet have touched grass or pergo floors (which is quite entertaining for me but not much fun for them, also makes them easier to catch!) I'm creating this blog for no one in particular, just to express my thoughts on the whole thing, to whine when I'm having a bad day, & to announce & celebrate milestones in our lives. I'm not a blog expert so this may all seem somewhat skewed but it will be my only salvation some days. Since I don't know how to ad a page for each one of the dogs I will write about them separately & add to their stories. Most of my new posts will be general stuff. Even if you can't help, or take a dog then please try to donate as we are so far past broke that the creditors don't even bother writing or calling anymore but the vet sure does... Any idea for fundraising or donations would be appreciated! I'm not sure if this will work but I'm going to try to put my paypal donation button on here & here are the links for our pet pages on petfinder.com, & adoptapet.com
